Another great day out with
Another great day out with friends. The weather was a little mixed, with rain when we got to the Stables in Dowlais, but for the rest of the day it was mainly dry with a few short bouts of drizzle and by 4pm the weather was wonderful.
Pat's knowledge of the area stood us well and after visiting the Stables, we went for a coffee and snack at the heritage centre, then made our way to the Iron Works where "Coalhouse" was filmed. Later we went to Big Pit and some chose to go underground, whilst other remained on the surface. Finally we went to the railway and saw the last steam train of the day coming into the station.
All in all, a great day, which was full of fun and laughter.
