3. Martyn Pinches Live on Air!!

Cardiff Camera Club got several very big plugs on the Jamie and Louise radio programme this morning when Martyn Pinches appeared live on air discussing getting started in photography. If you missed it you can listen again online for the next 6 days from

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/networks/wales/aod.shtml?wales/jamieandlouise_wed#

the main feature is around 15 mins in from the start

The big thing though ... I reckon club photography can get a MUCH bigger profile ~ if the programme was to get lots of camera club or photography related questions they may be inclined to make it a regular feature.

Homepage for the programme (with an online contact form) is at http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/radiowales/sites/jamieandlouise/

4. Working Together

23 of our 49 Clubs turned up at Talbot Green last weekend with representatives there from across our Federation including Aberystwyth, Hay on Wye, Dean and Tenby Camera Clubs – where were the rest of you?

As President I am extremely grateful to the 60 plus people who attended and I found the opportunity to listen to their input on our events and services very valuable – we will certainly be using their feedback to drive our direction in the future. They took part in small group discussions on our business areas mixed across the Clubs and then presented their ideas so that we could all share their thinking. Kevin Thomas will put together a report of the event so that all Clubs can understand the direction the discussions took.

This is certainly an event we will repeat in future years – my thanks also go to the members of the Executive who helped with the presentations – Philippa Wood, Kevin Thomas, Brian Coleman and Linda Baldwin.
