15 Federations took part with varying numbers of slides based on their Club Numbers, the average score was used to decide the final position these are: -

2nd Midland Counties Photographic Federation 57 slides 34 accepted 11.228 average
3rd Chilterns Association of Camera Clubs 21 slides 13 accepted 11.095 average

14th Welsh Photographic Federation 24 slides 1 accepted 9.208 average
15th Northern Ireland Photographic Association 15 slides 1 accepted 8.867 average

Scores based on 3 Judges voting from 2 to 5 each.

Congratulations to Gareth Martin AWPF CPAGB Port Talbot CC whose slide "Face of a Stranger" was our sole accepted image and will be on show with the exhibition touring our Federation in March 2008.

Details will be sent to each Club in the next few days; remember on this occasion we had to create slides from selected digital images which were not of a great standard; but the good news is that next year it will be a Projected Image competition and I am looking to the WPF to do better.

9. New Photographic Website in South Wales

Paul Hunter-Rowe of Crynant has advised me of a new Website he has established last month – I know nothing about it nor can I recommend it but his introductory statement appears to be of interest to photographers and the site may appeal to you. Paul says: -

"The main purpose of the site is to help other members progress their skills. Main objectives are setting assignments, holding future competitions, a system for people to organise trips/outings to photographic shows or to do our assignments and to help everyone when help is needed. I also have classifieds, forums, blogs and other features that members can use. I have had an influx of new members today who have provided some very good initial feedback of the site." You can find it at www.phototopix.co.uk

I only hope that it is a free site and not a money making facility – take care!
