PAGB Print Exhibition and other items

1. PAGB Print Exhibition – Official Opening

This exhibition of the PAGB "Best in Britain" photographic prints will be open at the Norwegian Church and The Tube Visitor Centre, Cardiff Bay from Wednesday October 3rd until Monday October 29th 7 days per week.

It will be officially opened by Councillor Nigel Howells ACA BSc Hon., the Portfolio Member for Sport, Leisure & Culture, an Executive member of Cardiff County Council at 3.30 p.m. on Friday 5th October, we are extremely grateful to him and his staff for the support they have given us in staging this event in Cardiff Bay and look forward to further co-operation in future events. Looking forward to seeing you there!

2. Good News and Bad News

Organisations like the WPF are continually changing and it is with pleasure that I welcome a returning Club into the WPF fold, The Old Bridge Photographic Society, Pontypridd has applied for membership and been accepted with alacrity. They are a dynamic club with 35 members with a fully equipped wet darkroom and also set up for digital photography. For those of our members who appreciate "Real Photography" you should look out for their Exhibition in December which is for traditionally produced prints. Contact details will be added to the Website next week but at the moment you can contact Martyn Morgan – Hon. Treasurer at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it
The bad news is that we have just lost a Club who have been a long time member of the WPF, it is with regret that I have to announce that Rhoose & St. Athans have closed down and will no longer exist, when they were associated with the RAF base they were very strong but with the close down of the facility they became independent and their membership dwindled, my regards go to Clive Noakes who put valiant efforts into maintaining the Club and look forward to seeing him again in another guise.
