AWPF Correction, Lampeter Convention, Exhibitions and Celtic Challenge 1. OK I got it Wrong! The AWPF Adjudication is on November 4th at Talbot Green – Must be Old Age!ASSOCIATE OF THE WELSH FEDERATION DISTINCTION – AWPFAs you are probably aware, The Welsh Photographic Federation is the awarding body for its own distinction, the AWPF-Associate of the Welsh Photographic Federation-allowing successful applicants to use AWPF after their name.To achieve this worthwhile distinction candidates submit a panel of images, full details of which are to be found on the WPF website www.thewpf.co.uk, which are assessed by a panel of judges. They are all eminent photographers in their own right, invited to assess the panels on the basis of experience in various aspects of photographic excellence not only in the Principality but from other federations within the PAGB, Photographic Alliance of Great Britain. This ensures consistency of standards by making the AWPF a recognised mark of photographic quality throughout the United Kingdom. It upholds the original intention of the WPF to provide an award to promote and encourage photographic excellence within the Federation and beyond. The next Distinctions Day will be held on 4th November 2007 at Talbot Green Community Centre, Rhondda Cynon Taff. The closing date for applications is the 6th October 2007.Roger Lewis LRPSDistinctions Secretary.
