Another Newsflash this week as I’m off to Holland to see the Swans (That’s Swansea City FC not the birds!) Back on the 4th August.

1. Salon Missing Slides

Two slides belonging to Peter Broadbent of The Vale CC have gone missing following the Salon in April this year, now it is possible that they may have been included in amongst other slides that were returned via WPF Clubs to some 46 workers who entered this year’s Salon. I would be grateful if you could ask your members and Club secretaries to carry out a check for us. The two slides missing are: - Catopteryx Virgo and Spooky Fournillier so if you do find them please contact me as below.

2. COTSWOLD EXHIBITION CANCELLATION
Following the floods which have affected many parts of Gloucester the organisers have reluctantly decided to cancel this year’s exhibition on Health and Safety grounds as there is no clean running water in the area. The Cotswold organising group apologise for any disappointment caused. Entrants work will be returned as planned in the second week in August.

3. 6 X 6 Transparency Projector available

Before it goes the way of all flesh, do you think there is someone out there that would appreciate a projector that shows 6x6 cm transparencies? I bought it back in my Hasselblad days and have to admit it has not had many outings in the last few years. If it would be of use to someone (it is a Gnome device) and they were able to collect it from me, it is theirs gratis; it seems criminal to throw it away.
