Competition & Exhibition 1. From Rob Owen – RPS The opening of the Print Exhibition of the RPS Visual Art Group at the Pontypridd Museum , originally due 2nd July has been postponed and will now open a week later on Monday 9th July.
2. Cardiff Event
Many around the south Wales clubs will know Martyn Pinches (president of Cardiff Camera Club) and his fashion and portrait photography because of the practical evenings he presents. Martyn, with the help of Mark Lowen (chair of Barry Camera Club) is organising what is turning out to be a MASSIVE day of fashion and studio photography ~ so far 101 models and 74 photographers from all over the UK are planning to descend on Cardiff Bay on Monday 9 July ~ and its all in the name of charity ... everyone attending will be making a minimum contribution of £5 to Ty Hafan, the Children’s Hospice in Wales. With WW2 vehicles and uniforms, luxury cars, sports cars and possibly a giant truck the photographic opportunities will be manyThe final target is at least 200 persons attending ~ razing £1000 for this worthy cause.There are a limited number of places available and can be taken by WPF members but to take one up you have to be a member of the networking site www.net-model.com (membership is free) or mail Martyn pinches (

4. Our Past President Joan Chatfield – now living in North Wales advised me that the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 11Jun – 19 Aug 2007 now include photographs in the exhibition. So maybe FIAP are correct we are an Art Form.
