I don’t know why there has been such a poor response maybe it is because: -

1. The AWPF Adjudication is being held on 4th November and those that are considering this are not yet prepared.

2. The decision to hold the event in the West of the territory has put off the photographers living in the East and insufficient from the West have been ready to attend to make up the numbers.

3. We at the WPF did not provide sufficient notice and did not get the right circulation of information to ensure it was properly communicated.

To try and overcome this situation we are going to take the following action: -

1. We are going to reschedule this event for the Sunday 16th September which is only 6 weeks prior to the adjudication so the intending applicants should have their panels nearly complete and would be looking for a final review.

2. We are happy to hold this event anywhere in the WPF area that a local Club can find a suitable venue and be prepared to host the event. In the event of no offers we will host the event at Talbot Green Community Centre. We remain determined to take any of our events to any area that is prepared to host and welcome us.

3. We will circulate this information fully over the next few weeks and send out reminders from time to time via Newsflash.

I would like to personally thank Margaret Jones and the New Quay Camera Club who were prepared to host us; they must be as disappointed as we are at this result following their efforts.
