4. Wetlands Trust and Nikon Competition.

Capture the beauty of spring at WWT National Wetland Centre Wales

There are some fantastic prizes to be won, including a full digiscoping kit, which will enable the winner to take stunning wildlife photographs with a telescope and digital camera. The superb Nikon D40 digital SLR camera with 18-55mm lens and a telephoto lens will be on offer as well as the lightweight and compact Travelite EX binoculars or one of Nikon’s latest consumer cameras.

The competition aims to capture the variety of WWT’s nine centres and three categories: ‘WWT Nikon Photo of the Year’, ‘WWT Nikon Junior Photo of the Year’ and ‘WWT Nikon Digiscoping Photo of the Year’. The judging panel, chaired by wildlife photographer Chris Packham, are looking for variety, innovation and imagination, as well as technical accomplishment. For example, your image might capture a special moment, depict specific behaviour or tell an imaginative story.

The main rule of the competition is that all photos submitted must have been taken at one of the nine WWT centres in the UK. Full details on the nine WWT centres and photography competition rules are available at
www.wwt.org.uk.

Closing date for entries is Monday 27th August 2007.
