ITV WALES:

WILD WELSH WEATHER
- yesterday, today and tomorrow

We at ITV Wales are preparing a series on Welsh weather to be broadcast in the near future. As you can imagine, with the weather we have it’s going to be an exciting and varied series!

Our five programmes will look at the weather experiences of Wales during the past century up to the present time - storms, floods, heavy snows, heat and drought etc - within the context of expert opinion regarding likely future developments as a result of Climate Change.

We have a substantial archive in ITV Wales, but we realise that it is more than likely that there is a treasury of still photos and film or video with members of photographic and video societies who have a delight in camera work and who have been in the right place at the right time. All too often, we ourselves get there after the event!

With that in mind, we are contacting camera clubs, such are yours, the length and breadth of Wales inviting members to contact us if they have images or film that reflect extreme or unusual weather conditions of all kinds - or know of others in their communities who might have such material and would be ready to share it with our viewers. We would be glad to discuss with them directly and perhaps make use of any CDs or tapes they have in our programmes.

Thank you very much for your cooperation,
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Sincerely,

Hywel Davies
