Cool Cymru is here!

A major new photographic exhibition was opened at the Millennium Centre
in Cardiff last Thursday night by one of its subjects, Charlotte Church.
The Cool Cymru project has taken Llanelli based photographer Terry Morris
18 months to photograph some of Wales' top iconic figures as they have
never been seen before - Charlotte Church, Gavin Henson, Sir Tom Jones, Ioan
Gruffudd, Dame Shirley Bassey & Ketherine Jenkins to name but a few.
Twelve top quality large photographs are on display at the Millennium Centre in Cardiff until March 2007 when they then move on through venues in both North & South Wales.
It really is an exhibition not to be missed.
Alongside this ground breaking exhibition is a 160 page hardback book with
documentary photographs by Llanelli Photographic Societies Graham Harries
& text by former Llanelli Star editor Andy Pearson.
All proceeds from this non profit making project will be going to the Noahs Ark Appeal (childrens hospital for Wales).
So far the Cool Cymru team have raised approx £20,000 for the appeal with more yet to come as the exhibition tours Wales.
