Please find attached a list of those images that will be representing the WPF on 14th October at the Swansea CCThere are a couple of anonymous Authors that I am trying to get information on and will publish as soon as I know. There is still some room at both the judging and Saturday night’s dinner at the Tower Hotel Jersey Marine, if you want to attend contact me as below. My thanks go to all those that submitted work for consideration by the selectors and congratulations go to those whose work was selected by me, Kevin Thomas and Mike Lewis.

As I am sure you are aware on this occasion I tried to obtain work from all of our Clubs to ensure we had the best of Welsh to show at the event, unfortunately by the closing date of 1st September I had only received work from 7 or 8 Clubs which gave me insufficient to select from. I made a further appeal at the Convention and picked up another 3 club’s entries. Subsequently I sent out a Newsflash asking for more which resulted in only one other Club responding. This for instance left me with only 19 Mono Prints from which to choose 10 entries and the rule of no more then 3 per worker excluded some of those. My thanks therefore must go to Geraint James and Mostyn Gardner (Newport and Vale) and Philippa of the Gwynfa Club who rallied around at the last moment to supply additional work.
I would be interested in feedback as to why this approach to try and involve more photographers and clubs in our external competitions didn’t work. I am still determined that we can and will do better if we can just harness the photography that does exist in the WPF.
