Hello everyone,

My name is Dan and I live in Pen-y-fai with my Wife and little girl, aged 4. My girl..not my wife is 4...

In the past I have enjoyed photography immensely and followed Formula 1 in the UK and Europe. I've had pictures published in magazines of the (then) F1 cars but sold my equipment around 1995 as it wasn't being used too often.

In 2008 I went to the San Francisco with my job and bought a Canon digital camera just for a record really. I took some basic shots to get the feel of it and came back with some quite good images. Since then I have used the Canon for family shots and days out, one of which has been put on the BBC Wales website. It's true to say that I have never really lost the appetite for amateur photography.

I cannot justify the expense of a digital SLR but I have recently bought a Canon FD lens and I'm looking for a Canon body (T90) to start taking pictures again.

To add to this I am a big Apple Mac fan and use Pixelmator to modify some of the images. It's similar to Photoshop but is around a fifth of the price and is fully capable of doing what photoshop does.

Be good to meet other people in a similar vein and maybe pass on some tips!
